KARNA PURANA | AYURVEDA EAR TREATMENT

“Karna” refers to “Ear” and “Purana” refers to “Fill” in Sanskrit, and as the name implies, Karna Purana is an ayurvedic procedure in which the ear canal is instilled and filled with warm medicated oil while the patient lies on his/her side. It is followed by a massage around the ear. Karna Purana aids in the treatment of Meniere’s disease, Tinnitus, Hearing loss, Swimmer’s ears, and other ear-related ailments. The oil used varies based on the indication for which the treatment is done. It can also be administered in healthy individuals as a preventive measure.
