HOW IS VAMANA DONE AT LIV AYURVEDA?

At Liv Ayurveda, after assessing the client through an initial consultation or a detox consultation, internal lubrication is administered according to the diseases, imbalance, body type and season. This is continued until proper lubrication is achieved.

This helps to process ama (toxins) and bring them to the stomach.
- The day before vamana, the client is prepared with a specific diet known as utkleshaka that helps to mobilize more Kapha and makes it easy for the toxins to be eliminated from the body.
- On the day of vamana (emesis), after proper preparation, the client is given the herbal combinations to induce vomiting.
- Once the desired level of vomiting has been achieved, the client is supported with calming therapies and a specific diet, so that body can rest and recover.
