Highlights of Ayurveda, Yoga And Cultural Retreat
Each day in our Ayurveda, Yoga and Cultural Retreat began with revitalizing yoga sessions designed to awaken the body and mind of attendees, followed by guided meditation to cultivate inner peace and clarity. The experienced practitioners developed individualized detox and rejuvenation plans, incorporating traditional Ayurvedic treatments, designed to restore balance and vitality to your being, addressing your specific health concerns and wellness goals. Participants had the opportunity to indulge in the flavours of Ayurvedic vegetarian cuisine, infused with healing herbs and spices.
The major highlights of the retreat were the captivating Theyyam performances and the traditional martial art of Kalaripayattu. Additionally, the rhythmic beats of Chendamelam added vibrant energy to the retreat while the graceful performances of Indian classical dance illuminated the retreat with cultural grandeur. All in all, these experiences provided participants with a deep connection to the traditions of the region.
The serene houseboat cruise created a mesmerizing experience for the participants as it offered them a peaceful escape and stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty. The visits to local spice farms and tea plantations allowed participants to explore the rich agricultural heritage of Kerala and why it was a major stop for the spice route. Moreover, adventures to ancient caves and the awe-inspiring giant waterfalls at Wayanad, a UNESCO-listed heritage site further enriched the retreat experience, providing a journey to the natural and historical wonders of the area.
Our retreat also offered Ayurvedic self-care classes to help the participants to learn practical techniques to integrate Ayurvedic practices into their daily routines. Whereas, Ayurvedic cooking classes offered hands-on experience in preparing nourishing meals, teaching them the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and the use of healing spices. Ultimately, the retreat inspired the participants to continue their journey towards wellness and wholeness long after they returned home.
Apart from everything; the energy of the land, generous smile and kindness of the people and love and pampering by the group and staff healed everyone deeply and nourished and changed them in a way that they haven’t expected or experienced before!
