Takradhara | Butter Milk Therapy
Takradhara is an ayurvedic massage therapy in which herbalized buttermilk is poured on the forehead. In Sanskrit, “Takra” means buttermilk and “Dhara” means flow and as the name suggests, it is done by pouring a steady stream of warm or cold buttermilk on the forehead, based on the body type of the person. While Shirodhara uses oil, Takradhara uses only buttermilk, making it a part of the former. Takradhara is the ideal massage for improving sleep quality, supporting healing skin diseases and allergy and reducing stress.
